Dr Chris Sankoorikal trained in Endocrinology and General medicine at John Hunter Hospital and holds appointments as an endocrinologist at John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle Private Hospital and Lake Macquarie Private Hospital.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and also a conjoint lecturer at the School of Medicine - University of Newcastle.
Dr Sankoorikal provides a comprehensive consultation and expertise in the diagnosis and management of all endocrine disorders. He has special interest in gestational diabetes and metabolic bone diseases including osteoporosis.

Alison Gebuehr is a Credentialled Diabetes Educator with 20 years experience working with people with diabetes and has a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education from Deakin University.
Alison is working as the Clinical Nurse Consultant for diabetes at John Hunter Hospital and joins the team here on Fridays.
Alison can provide you with comprehensive education and management in all aspects of diabetes, with special interest in insulin pumps and diabetes in pregnancy.

Allison Roberts is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and Credentialled Diabetes Educator who graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2009 with honours. Allison is passionate about providing people with individually-tailored nutrition advice to achieve the best outcomes for their diabetes management. She specialises in carbohydrate counting, the management of gestational diabetes and patient centred nutrition coaching for type 2 diabetes.
Allison also has special interest in digestive health, weight management and heart disease. She offers appointments for people under team care arrangements and private paying consultations.
Allison’s goal is to provide realistic and practical nutrition advice for people to improve their health without compromising the enjoyment of eating
